Android phones have captured the market and the attention of the masses. With increased processing abilities, the smartphone has become the new heaven for gamers and developers. But then, you aren’t here for all of that, isn’t it? So let’s jump straight into the best android games this year has thrown up so far.
- Asphalt: Xtreme
Gameloft has tried to add one more to the roster with this off-road racing game which is visually similar to Asphalt 8: Airborne. With no close competitors except CSR Racing 2, this one is going to stay with the adrenaline rush for quite a while.
- Critical Ops
A first person shooter (FPS) of the highest quality with an online multiplayer capability and stunning graphics, Critical Ops is one of the best throwbacks for Counter Strike fans. Though still in beta testing, this one looks promising.
- Clash Royale
A crowd favorite due to its easy and addictive gameplay, the Clash of Clans family introduced, Clash Royale. A strategic, real-time multiplayer, it is a neat mix of tower defense and card battles. A nice way to waste time with real friends in the virtual world.
- Fallout Shelter
An extension of sorts to the Fallout series of games by Bethesda, this game lets you build and maintain a fallout shelter after the nuclear debacle. It services both the fans of the series and the newcomers with ease. Try out if you’re into that sort of games.
- Final Fantasy Brave Exvius
A less recent addition of the list, this game follows a long series of the Final Fantasy games and has checks most of its boxes. Coming from a story heavy gameplay, this role playing game is a rage in Asia and follows a fairly common gameplay mechanic. Nice for RPG or Dungeons & Dragons fans.
- Injustice 2
The sequel to DCs answer to Marvel Future Fight, Injustice 2 takes forward the legacy of Injustice: Gods Among Us. A game with over the top cool graphics, a moving storyline, and your favorite superheroes, this is a fan boy’s dream. Watch your superheroes and super villains come together in un-thought-of combos and fight it all out.
- Badlands 2
Another sequel on the list, this one has ‘made for smartphones’ written all over it. If you’ve played the first one (how on earth have you not!?) the premise is still to get our dear cute dark flying creatures to safety. What makes this one a quick and interesting time waster, is the presence of new traps and locations to add to the dark atmosphere.
- Pro Evolution Soccer 17
One of the most fine-tuned sports based games on Android; the PES 2017 takes football graphics and player reactions to the next level. The commentary, the offline multiplayer mode, and the flowing smooth controls make this game a joy to play. A must for the football lover in you.
- Unkilled
Have you been hooked to the Walking Dead, Zombie Apocalypse or just plain shooting the undead? This game makes you enjoy all that and more. The graphics are splendid and you can try a ton of weapons, upgrades, and customizations to keep things interesting.
- NOVA Legacy
The low data version of the hit N.O.V.A game, this is an FPS with graphics, cool guns, and futuristic locations. With just 20 MB of required space, it’s a score.
